SATURDAY 23RD AND SUNDAY 24TH JULY 2011

Set in the grounds of Aintree Racecourse, a full programme of Showing and Show Jumping events are due to take place over a two day action packed weekend starting Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July 2011.

A full showing programme is on offer in the middle of the Racecourse starting on the Saturday and concluding on the Sunday with an array of classes and championships taking place.  There will be six rings together with a full schedule of over 250 classes being run together with affiliation to more than sixteen societies ranging from In hand classes to Shetlands, Side Saddle, BSPS,Working hunter classes together with Hacks, Cobs, Veteran Horses and classes for the Retrained Racehorse being featured.

This year features a wonderful prize fund of £2,000 with £1,000 being awarded to the Supreme Champion and a further £1000 to the Champion Retrained Racehorse – special prizes for any retrained racehorse that has raced at Aintree is also to be awarded.  With fantastic prize money on offer this show is sure to attract the best riders and showing producers in the country to compete at this new venue.   

The Aintree National Showing Event will also be featuring a shopping village with various trade stands for all your shopping needs together with full catering facilities on offer for all the family throughout the weekend.  Pre entries for the showing event close on Friday 8th July but late entries will be accepted on the day.  A full schedule is now available to download on our website. www.aintreeequestriancentre.co.uk. 

For all the Show Jumping enthusiasts the Blue Lights Horse Show will take place in the Aintree Equestrian centre on the Sunday featuring Unaffiliated show jumping for both juniors and seniors with prizes on offer.  Entries for this show jumping event will only be taken on the day.  A full schedule for this event is available on www.aintreeequestriancentre.co.uk.
